RE: Matsui 110- no auto subtitles
My advice harsh as it may seem is get a new player. My Matsui was a complete nightmare from day 1. It is exceptionally inconsistant around 30% of the discs I bought didn`t work properly or had niggles. Also if you get a dolby digital decoder the sound is atrocious.
It does play Gladiator Disc 2 though.
Sorry!
RE: Matsui 110- no auto subtitles
Your being a little harsh on the little player ain`t ya rollneck. No problems from my player in the last 6 months. Every one of my 60 DVDs work. But can`t compare to the newer machines, thats all. I got mine for £110, so not to bad at the time. Anyway, Hong Kong DVDs do have atrocious sound so I`m fine with the machine :)~
RE: Matsui 110- no auto subtitles
I do freely admit that mine was one of the first 110 but it caused me a lot of heartache and the retailer offered me no help what so ever. Where DVDs were supposed to be a pleasure my Matsui turned the pursuit into a nailbiting will it won`t it work every time I bought a new disc. All I want to do by stating the above is to avoid anyone new to DVDs from suffering the same dissappointment I did. However I cannot argue with the evidence if all your discs work then OK perhaps I had a bad player.
5.1 reproduction however remains inexcusably bad.
Once again sorry to appear to be a miserable sod !
