Apparently this Jet Li film (directed by Zhang Yimou) is a corker. Its no due out here for absolutely ages, but it is out in several Asian countries (just like Crouching Tiger). Does anybody know where it will come out on DVD first, and where?

i have been following this film for a few months now. your right about it not coming out here for a while, i did read maybe mid to late 2003, but dont put any money on it. it depends how much the american company who bought it want to put it out properly or just dump it.
it should be out on region 3 over the coming months, as it has been out at the cinema there for several weeks.
there are some more nice pics up today at dark horizons.
ive heard its supposed to be more action than cthd. i loved cthd, its one of my favourite films, i even got the region 3 dvd before it came out here because i just new it would be great, i saw it at the cinema first though.
lets hope hero makes it here, and soon. i think it is one of those considered for the foreign oscar.

The R3 DVD is out on february 20th possibly. But due to vcd piracy problems involving the two companies that were meant to be releasing it theres a possibility that the DVD might be delayed.

dddhouse are saying March hopefully for the DVD (VCD on 19/02).
