Page 1 of Temple Of Doom definitely CUT
DVDs & Films Forum
According to the R2 Project, they`ve confirmed with the BBFC that Paramount has submitted the same cut version of "Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom" that has previously been issued. The BBFC would not commit themselves to comment whether an uncut version of the film would merit a 12 or 15 rating in today`s climate without reviewing the film again.
I think I`ll stick with the R2 I have on order.

R1? ;)
Or R4?
I like Pal more than NTSC
Um... what are the differences between the two versions?
Basically, a scene of some bloke`s heart being ripped out by Indy has been cut from the UK version.

Not quite. It is the freaky dude that rips some poor dudes heart out. Indy doesn`t do any heart pulling ;)

RE: Temple Of Doom definitely CUT
£35.99 for R2, PAL Quality and a set of cuts I`m quite happy with, or £38.99 for R1 uncut but NTSC judder.
R2, I say.

You see, that is something I normally wouldn`t think about, I`d go straight for the R2 (for PAL). But these cuts have always bothered me. Even though Temple Of Doom isn`t a great film, I still like it. So I`ll have to go with R1 uncut, and the NTSC `judder`.
Damn you Paramount, look at what you have made me do :p

If anyones interested, CD-WOW have both R1 and R2 up for pre-order at £32.99, so you can take your pick!
You say the R2 DVD will be cut by the British Film board.. so why not try and buy it in France or EU..
They may not cut it, and it will still be in english.. except for the box cover fo course. Just an idea..
