Page 1 of Verbatim Digital movie discs, where are they ? ? ?

Has anyone seen these discs for sale in the UK ?

They are `cool` looking DVD+R discs that look like a film reel, and although I have seen them advertised in UK AV magazines they don`t seem to be sale anywhere in the UK !
In fact one of the AV magazines has them down as a award winner for media for 2003 but has not yet reviewed them !
Why do these companies advertise products that are not yet available ???

Seen them on a few online shops, but only DVD-R so far; but no doubt DVD+R will follow shortly. 2 examples are here and here
