LOTR 2 Disc vs 4 Disc

Alright, clearly that headline doesn`t make a lot of sense. What I mean is this...

Is there any point in buying the 2-disc versions of LOTR if you`ve already got both the extended 4 disc versions? Are there extra features which don`t appear on the 4 disc, and if so, are they worth having?

Cheers guys,

M

The extras on each version are completely independent of each other. That is to say..none of the extra`s content would be reapeated if you were to watch the extras on the 4 disc and 2 disc edition.

mind you if the extras on the disc are the same quality as the ones for fellowship then they`re not upto much as fellowship had duplicated documentaries which could have been cut back to 1 and the rather short website mini docs

If you are interested in the editing process (as in comparing the threatrical and extended versions), yes. If you like to have the trailers and TV Spots for the films, yes.

The extras aren`t too deep so you`re not missing much apart from the above. Personally, I have both versions and I will do the same for Return Of The King :D
