Page 1 of Can i claim a new DVD case?

Hello, went shopping today looking for the Deluxe DTS version of Bugs Life, i checked about a dozen stores before i found it and was quite happy that i managed to get a copy as my two young nephews was staying, and were looking forward to seeing the movie.

When we all settled down to watch the movie, i pulled off the sleeve to open up the DVD and found that the security tag was still attached to the case.....

I ended up pulling the case to pieces in anger to open it, because of the day i had trying to get it, the person who served me was blabbing away to her partner as she served me and was not concentrating on what she was doing.

Do you think i can still claim for another DVD or case as the security tag is still attached to the case, or am i too late as i have broken the case.

I don`t normally buy from stores as they are more expensive than online, but after paying £25 for this after the day i have had, i feel a little p***ed off.

Should do, ask to see a supervisor straight off the bat and complain about the lack of attention you received from the sales assistant. Don`t say you damaged the case tho, as technically you didn`t `have` to open it when you did.

As a person who is almost an expert in the art of complaining ONLY when needed.

Damn right you can get a new case! Just march up to customer services and explain the situation. They`ll give you a new case right away. Any probs, Get the adress of the store and I`ll write and complain for you.

I have obtained through moaning. A Free DVD and apologies from columbia tristar, vouchers, dvd cases and apologies from BIB, etc etc..

Don`t forget to take in the sales receipt, and perhaps phone ahead in case their pet gorilla - sorry, security guard - gets medieval on your good self for attempting to nick his precious.

how did you get out of the shop with the security tag still active?
