Page 1 of R1 DTS v R2 2.0 Surround Sound ?
DVDs & Films Forum
About 6 months ago I bought one of my favourite films from Play.com (Point Break) but it only had Dolby Digital 2.0 which doesn`t play too badly at all, but recently I spotted an R1 version from DVDSoon with better extra`s and DTS for only £4.40, so as it`s one of my favourite films I took the plunge and thought that I would sell my R2 version.
Having played the R1 version at the weekend I have to say that I am very disappointed, considering it`s a good action film I dont think my Subwoofer murmered once! Dont get me wrong the clarity of the higher frequecnies is very good but there`s absolutely no bass!
Does anybody else have this problem with R1 DTS films or is it standard?

Pete,
check your subwoofer lead, it may have come out when you were jumping
up and down when you saw the wolves result on saturday ;)

That just made me laugh! a) because of the result b) when the goal was scored and c) listening to them yesterday saying how much they are hard-done-by! Tossers.
Sub-lead is ok btw, checked other DVD`s after playing R1 Point Break.

Pete,
Had to laugh myself...i`d just got home and realised i needed to take a DVD back
to Choices. As soon as i got in the car, i switched on Radio WM to hear "Liverpool have
a corner........oooh, Sami Hypia(sp?) has just scored!!" nearly p****d myself laughing.

Wasn`t as funny as when Kenny Miller crashed in the stoppage time equaliser at Molineux. Stuart Hall said that Heskey looked as out of place on a football field as a nun in a strip club on Sat!
Anyway we were hard done by but can take some encouragement from the performance ahead of the game against Chelsea. Liverpool have underachieved massively this season and it wasn`t that much of a surprise that they struggled on Sat.
