Page 1 of Daredevil: Director`s Cut...

Got this today.

I like the theatrical cut, it`s a good action film with some cool character moments. But it was spoiled by some overly cheese filled moments.

The Director`s Cut (or DC) isn`t just an extended version, it`s a proper DC. The confessionals and some love scenes (bit by the fire) have been removed. The sub plot with Coolio is actually really good, and it shows Matt Murdock using his abilities without slipping on the costume... something that was completely missing in the theatrical cut (hell, he loses the only case we actually see in that cut :/ ).

As for added violence, bits here and there. Some more profanity and the extra violence have upgraded this film from PG-13 to R-rated. The fight at the end with Kingpin is a lot better, mainly because it flows and feels like a fight, rather than the two or three move piece that it was in the cinema.

I really like this film, and the DC is the best, by far. It`s a more mature film and I can`t believe that they cut so much out of it for the cinema release.

Anyway, the DVD is cheap as chips (under a £10) so if you liked the theatrical version then I would highly recommend this (the only extras on it are a new commentary and featurette, so it`s not like you`re buying all the extras again, it`s like a companion DVD for the original 2 disc set).

I really enjoyed the theatrical cut too despite its obvious flaws, but was a bit hesitant about buying this - some muppet told me it was gonna b like X-men 1.5 "Extreme Edition" but from what you`ve said I`m gonna order it now!

I thought it could have been good, but Colin Farrell`s character was too comic book in my view...

Found the original to be v entertaining a 7/10 from me.
But does this DC have the gag reel that the 2discer had?? cause that is such a funny reel i would have to keep the TC, if i was to purchase this without it
