Hitchhiker`s Guide To The Galaxy Film

Have just seen the photos from the film in The Mail On Sunday. Marvin, is now a short faceless big round plastic ball, Zaphod Beeblebrox only has one head. It all looks VERY American. Who was the burk who let Disney make the film. If it was D Adams he must have been having a laugh at the time or be turning in his grave!!

Ok, I admit it, I have a Phillips DVDR70 (dons hard hat and jumps in bunker ready for incoming verbal abuse!)

But on the other hand, Martin Freeman looks like he was born to play arthur dent, Mos Def looks brilliant as Ford Prefect and some of the sets and effects look breath taking. And I dont know what the Mail is doing but Zaphod certainly has 2 heads. Its one of the most important parts of the book!

And the nerd on the street reckons its a surprisingly faithful adaptation.

Im just glad it got made, to be honest. Everything else is a bonus.

if its a shot on set prior to mixing with cgi then zaphod would have only one head unless for some strange reason they decided they liked the undead papiermache look of the tv series version which i doubt

Have just seen a photo in one of the si-fi mags that Marvin does have legs and a body after all. Looks ok, but I still prefer the old tinplate toy robot look of the BBC one.

Much as I like Mosdef as a rapper and actor, I am not sure how convincing he will be at playing someone who is supposed to come from Guildford...

I`m gonna have to drag out the BBC series again, there was a time when series made by the BBC were innovative.. :(

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

I know he`s not from Guildford - but aren`t we supposed to believe that you could believe that he was from guildford?

I`m from Guildford..but nobody believes that I`m from Guildford, not even my parents..in fact even I`m starting to believe I`m not from Guildford...perhaps I`m not! Maybe I could have played Ford Prefect, then again perhaps not? I think I need a Pan Galactic Gargleblaster!! :p
