Godfather boxset R1 Vs. R2

VinceDVD (Competent) posted this on Friday, 17th August 2001, 12:46

Hi everyone, not sure if this has been covered before, but are the R1 and R2 box sets the same? They seem to have the same stuff on them. Also, anyone got any recommendations for cheapest sites for this?
Thanks
Martin

They appear to be identical.

You can get the R2 version for £43.99 from http://www.play247.com

Are you sure R1 is better boyesy? If you look at the list of R1 extras - each extra is also listed in R2. It only looks like there are less because the R2 list has multiple extras on some lines and less descriptions. Maybe it`s too soon to panic about R2.

Don`t forget that Play used to insist that the R1 Fight Club dvd that they sold was only 1 disc.

This from Rewind (more reliable extra listings than Play) http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=767

I reckon the R2 is the one to get then. It`s slightly cheaper, and it`s a PAL transfer. Doesn`t sound like you`ll be disappointed either way, then. I`ve been waiting for this one for a long time...
