Does anybody know if the R2 release of The Shining will have any special features? I looked on Play247, but they don`t have any information yet. I assume it will be pretty much the same as the R1 release?
Also, has the R2 version been cut? According to Play, the R1 version has a running time of 2Hrs 24Mins, and the R2 version only 1Hr 54Mins?!? Surely the NTCS/PAL framerate disparity can`t have a 30 minute effect on run time!?!

The Region 1 version has a whole load of scenes that were cut out of the UK release. I was desparate to own the movie when I first got a player and was glad to see that, although the scenes are not wholly necessary they are excellent additions to a great movie
