WHICH FORMAT IS BEST?

Well, its half and half...

Only R1 has DTS...
You choose either:
better sound (DTS) with fewer excelent features,
or
Still damn good sound (D.D.) with excellent extras.

As much as I like DTS dvds, the D.D strikes me as far better value for money... but its up to you! ;)

I have to disagree, I have seen R2 version DTS! yes, but they don`t do it in a box set with JP2, which you can also get R2 DTS,
Just thought you would like to know.
