Page 1 of Anyone bought the Region 3 Ultimate Superman Set (13 discs)?

Just wondering...y`know. I`ve taken the plunge and ordered the set off CD-Wow, in the hope that it doesn`t suffer from the problem the R1 set does; namely the Superman 3 disc problem. If anyone here has the set (from CD-Wow`s website it looks like the R3 is out and has been available for a while), I`d dearly love to know if it`s OK. I have heard rumours that it`s fine, but I`d rather hear from you chaps.

I got it confirmed by someone on the Rewind Forums who has the set before I ordered mine so it should be ok.

How come everyone is picking this up for £38 on Cd-Wow? It cost me £48.

Because for some reason the US CD-Wow site has it for a full tenner less than the UK site. Usually there`s only a few pence difference, so it`s a bit of a kick in the teeth for UK customers.

My R1 set was a present, so I didn`t strictly pay for it, but if I had known about this CD-Wow deal i might have forgone the 14th disc and opted for it instead.

I thought ought to ask though while I`m on this subject: Does the fault on the Superman The Movie disc exist on the Region 3 edition also? I`ve been reading about how the R1 S:TM is missing the original theatrical soundtrack, and was worried that this might affect the R3 too. If anyone knows, please fill me in.

CD WOW have shipped my Region 3 set so hopefully I`ll have it by the weekend, although the site shows the dispatch date as 1st Jan 1970 :/

Yep, their site`s showing mine`s been shipped too, but I`d still love to know the answer to my question above. If there is someone here with the R3 set, please let me know if the original Superman:TM suffers the same fate as the R1.

I have visions of Superman flying round the world really really fast to deliver it in time for my 5th birthday. Just hope he`s got a DVD player with him as well ;)

Bloody Cd-Wow have just knocked £2 off this set. It`s now £45.99, the sods.

Also, I`m reading conflicting reports around the net regards the original theatrical soundtrack on the Superman The Movie disc. Some owners claim it`s there, others say not. If anyone here actually has the set, could you please confirm either way.

Read on DVD Times one of the users says everythings OK with the R3 set, but over on thecinemaforums.com the reports are somewhat murkier. HELP!!

From what I`ve heard there is a 2.0 soundtrack on there but it`s a downmix of the 5.1 track not the original audio and most people probably can`t tell the difference between the two. I`m off to pick up a parcel from the Royal Mail that I hope is Superman, if it is I`ll let you know later what audio is on there.
