Just bought Iron Man on Blu Ray and checked out the BD Live feature. Set up an account and accessed 9 quizzes ( i live in the Uk and the disc is region 2).
I was under the impression that BD Live wasnt available here yet, can somebody advise me as to whether it is (it appears to be so) and what the difference is between what i can access and what can be accessed in the states?
The UK is region B, not region 2. Blu-ray uses letters for its regions, not numbers. Iron Man is actually regions A, B and C, as are all Paramount titles the world over.
BD-Live has been available over here for a while, but it`s mostly gimmicky stuff like trailers and crappy featurettes. Iron Man is one of the best examples so far, although in the future we should see interactive web discussions, new commentary tracks and more.
There`s no difference in what ou can access as it`s disc-dependant. if you have a US disc you will access the US content, if it`s UK it will be UK content (if the content is different). More US discs are BD-Live enabled, but to be honest it`s nowhere near as important as BonusView.
Sorry to be a complete novice but whats bonusview??

Profile 1.0 is Grace Period, Profile 1.1 is BonusView (PiP) or Final Standard, Profile 2.0 is BD-Live.
