Burning VCD`s

I have some .mpg files can i burn them onto a cd and play it direct on my DVD player. My DVD say`s it will play VCD`s. Or do i need some software to convert it.

You will needs software to convert it. the process is to long to go in to detail here so check out http://www.vcdhelper.com for the tools needed how to`s and a forum just for VCD.

and something else to check is that your player can read CDR`s or RW`s if making your own VCD`s
