Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within (R1)

HELP !!! I`m running a Scan SC2000 which is about 12 months old & is set to "Region Free". I recently bought a R1 special edition of this film but can only run the second bonus disk. The main film will not play - all I get is the world regions map displayed & a note that I need a region 1 player. Do I need to upgrade my firmware & if so where can I download this?

probably the RCE encoding that is stopping it. Perhaps if you could change the region and just set it to Region 1 it may allow the Disk to play.. Just a guess I dont really know that much

It is the RCE which is stopping it. You might have to get an update for you player from somewhere.

i agree with epyon try putting the player on region 1 only.
If not put a region 1 disc in first, wait for the film to go to menu then eject and put in ff.
This should work (don`t quote me tho)
good luck...
