RCE code on Warner Bros R2 discs on Sherwood player

Any idea how I can play Kubricks 2001 and State and Main on my Sherwood player. I can't get past the check code signal, either that or do the American R1 warner discs also have RCE as R1s play okay? I have got other warner R1s that are okay. What a pain these are hardly new films.
