Page 1 of Memento - What the hell did I just watch? ***SPOILER***

The greatest movie ever maybe? Holy crap, I wish I`d seen this sooner, I had no idea how good it is! I`m still beat though, could somebody please confirm to me who the killer actually was? Surely it wasn`t Teddy?

AS for the killer, you can draw what ever conclusion you want. I for one think there was no killer and that guy pearce killed her, or she may not even be dead. The killer is def. not teddy though.

Any one else have n e thoughts on who the killer was?

I don`t think Guy Pearce killed her - remember the scenes with the two masked men??

He may have already killed the murderer(s), but because he can never remember, he would give himself tatoos/clues of anyone, (so he could get revenge/closure), knowing full well (at the time) that they were innocent (and that he would forget that!) GULP - I hope that make some sense!!

As much of a gem this movie is, I just wished they`d have given us a more conclusive ending. I mean, I spent alot of time trying to make sense of the movie while watching it, not knowing who`s `bad` & who`s `good`, maybe I`m just an idiot, but I found it awfully confusing at times. And to piece it all together and not to be given a definite answer, makes me feel kinda cheated.

Teddy was NOT the killer. When Teddy said that Leonard had already killed him he was telling the truth.

Leonard killed one of the junkies, the other got away. His wife was still alive. He accidentally killed her with an insulin overdose.

As for who`s good and who`s bad there is no definate answer - the characters in the film are incredibly complex - just like in real life.

I do feel that Carrie`s character`s outburst against Lenny was just her way of telling whether he was faking it or not - just like his wife tested him. (OPINION)

Teddy`s character is more morally suspect but I feel that he is, essentially, a good person (I can`t quite remember why - I`m going to have to watch it again). (OPINION)

I consider the first three statements absolute facts, by the way.

I cant remember much of the movie cos i saw it a while ago but joe pantaliano isnt the killer and neither is guy pearce (from my interpretation)
Carrie Anne Moss was a bitch but wasnt the killer, I think Joe said that they already got the guy and killed him and that he couldnt remember cos he didnt write it down.

Guy Pearce did already find the people who killed his wife, but he forgot straight away. all the through his search he had tatood the details on himself so he went looking for the killers again. and teddy knew all this, he just entertained Guy.

Anybody got the special edition yet?

yeah, i`m just watching the special edition region 1 discs at the moment actually :)
very good commentary from christopher nolan, but the actual extras menu, whilst being extremely creative and graphically impressive, are just a little annoying. when you have to spend 5 minutes of answering irrelevant questions just to get to a set of props, i find that pretty pointless.
but yes, it is an absolute modern day classic film-noir that i`ll recommend to anyone.

Nice packaging too.
