:/ I appreciate that it may not strictly be an `egg`, but can anyone please advise me on the correct way to navigate through the above special feature. At its introduction it mentions finding your reward and getting through the chamber safely..... after going through the statue`s mouth, I keep getting attacked by the basilisk. Can anyone help?

once you`ve met the basilisk, that`s actually the end of the feature. Apart from a secret passageway (forward, right, forward) the whole feature is basically a rather pants set tour.
