I think he`s asking, because he doesn`t know where the term easter egg originates.

It is a custom, probably an American custom, to place a number of small Easter eggs(usually in the garden) in hidden places for children to search and find.

Thus the term has come to be used for hidden secrets in software or DVDs etc...
