Enter The Matrix...worth buying?

I was considering buying this game for my xbox but I am a bit put off as it looks very playstation 2 also it is developed by shiny who haven`t exactly made classic games. Can anyone confirm if it is any good or just another movie tie-in (cash in) that fails to deliver. Thanks.

It is supposed to be better than an average cash-in, but not great in its own right. Worth a rent at least, apparently. :)

Got it for xbox on thursday. I have already completed it it with one character, but now onto the second character, so each character on its own is a short experience. If you love the matrix world and love martial arts you will have a blast playing this game. It has replay value because none of the levels are frustrating and you will want to find cooler ways of dispatching the bad guys.

If this game had a first person control scheme I would have been much happier because the controls get a bit clunky especially as the best control scheme for me sees me using the black button to shoot( oh dear!). "Is it worth buying?" well I will not be taking it back as I enjoy the game alot and can see myself coming back just to do the cool kung fu. The graphics are ok, however for some reason they look so much better when you play as Niobe than when you play with Ghost.

Indeed, its an above average game with excellent FMV, defo a big step up from the usual movie tie-in`s but still so much missed potential due to often bland level design. The games main problem is it was designed for the lowest common denominator - the PS2, and then just hastily ported over to the others with upgraded texture detail etc. If they`d taken the time to polish it more for the XBox etc it could`ve been superb however its an alright game tho the levels are too short (due to PS2 based design) and the camera and controls can often be rather awkward.

The FMV is a big plus tho as is the story etc of the game, basically you`re part of the Matrix Reloaded storyline but filling in the bits you dont see in the film. Oh and of course it has Monica Bellucci in that tight white dress in a lesbo kiss scene with Jada Pinkett-Smith*, what more can you ask for! :D

Really??? I should have it for PC within the next hour or so; Niobe is defo going to be the first character I play as.
