If you mean a Playstation 2 then mainly only second hand, however xbox = £119 unless you want particular titles not found on xbox get the xbox :)

The PS3 is due out shortly, so if you wait a bit, a new PS2 will drop in price dramatically.

I wouldn`t call 3 years shortly, nintendo and microsoft are planning to bring out there new consoles before Sony bring out PS3. If you mean the PSX will be out shortly then yes the original PS2 may go down in price, but I doubt it, as it would make the psx less desirable.

Just out of curiosity how come the xbox is cheaper than the ps2?

Yep, this is possible. I bought a PS2 for my son from Boots in Cardiff last week for £127(they had 6 left). I asked the sales assistant why they were reduced & he said they were having a clearout of old stock & they were left over from last Christmas.
