In Japan, anyway...by a huge 300 units in the week ending 31st August.

Game Boy Advance SP - 42,600
GameCube - 35,600
PlayStation 2 - 35,300
Game Boy Advance - 12,100
PSone - 960
Xbox - 650

It`s due to the release of Tales of Symphonia, which sold 176,600 copies in its first week. So there you go.

and ps1 is outselling x-box

We all know this is a temporary blip (the gc selling so well). Any idea if this game is any good though ? More importantly, any info on a UK release if so ??

The reason I ask, is that as a GC owner the 2 X Box fanboys I work with will (quite understandably) dismiss this news without a link, or quoting what mag it`s from ;)

Ach it`s common knowledge that the XBox has fared badly in Japan due to mismanagement and a lack of titles that suit the very different Japanese market. It`s only now and then that it picks up such as for DOAV and Panzer Dragoon, i.e. when they release games the japanese would actually buy rather than all the western titles we get over here.

fared badly? thats a slight understatement!!

As far as I can remember, no non-Japanese console has succeeded in Japan, ever. Microsoft were fools to even try.
