Nintendo are running a promotion this month (1-31 January) to get the limited collector`s edition for gamecube if you buy either

one of

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, 1080 Avalanche, Mario Party 5 or Eternal Darkness or

two from

Luigi`s Mansion, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, StarFox Adventures and Mario Party 4.

I`m just annoyed cos i bought two from the players choice (2nd list) the day before the promotion started. If anyone get a spare of this collectors Zelda disc let me know - am willing to buy for a reasonable amount.

Jane

If you still have your receipt, why don`t you go back to the shop
and see if they will let you "have " one of the Zelda disks?

Gotta be worth a try just for the cheek of it!

BTW I got one and it`s great ;)

You cannot get the disc from the shop, you have to send your reciept to Nintendo to get the disc. I got Starfox Adventure and Pikmin so I could take advantage of this, which I do not regret as both games are good. Hopefully I will get the disc by the end of the month.

When they say "till receipt" does this mean that they will not accept the proof of purchase received with games bought from Amazon, Play, etc?

On a surface reading that`s what it sounds like, which would be a bit of a scunner if true. I haven`t bought a full-price game in a high-street shop for ages!

I am not sure I have heard that if it is a UK based retailer that you can, but you would have to contact Nintendo on the number given in the terms and conditions for the promotion.

This link will take you to the article, just click on terms and conditions for the information

I gave them a wee ring, and they said that was okay as long as the online store was based in the areas covered by the deal (UK and Channel Islands).

I think I shall procure myself F-Zero via Amazon without further delay...

Just thought...

take the games that you bought back to the shop, tell them that they
are duplicates and can you have your money back thankyou please.

Send someone back into the shop for you to re-purchase the games and claim
your Zelda disk!!!

Simple Non??

I bought Eternal Darkness for £14.98 on th 5/1/03 from Dixons, knowing that I will get a nice new zelda disk.

I suggest you pop down to your local dixons and ask for the suggested titles - it is a legit purchase so Nintendo must send them out (hopefully).

Good Idea? I think so (if you have`nt got ED).
