Page 1 of PS2 - Third Person Western Game

I seem to recall reading an article about a new game which will be a Western based 3rd person `shoot-em-up`. Anyone know what it`s called and when it will be available?
Cheers

It`s OK chaps and chapesses, I had a bit of time on my hands and found it...Red Dead Revolver.
Thanks anyway.

... and apparently its not all too hot. Got around 7 out 10 on IGN if I remember rightly and they`re usually generous as well.
Cheers Ben, any idea if there is a similar better game about. I just fancied something a bit less MGS/Splinter cell for a change?

RE: PS2 - Third Person Western Game
If you have a PC then there`s always the old LucasArts classes called "Outlaws". (Doesn`t need a top spec to play it)
There`s also some mods for Half-Life to make a western type game (similar to Outlaws, and in fact has the same name!)
It`s nice not to play something so ultra-modern every now and again.

There`s Dead Mans Hand, a first person shooter / card game or something. Didn`t get great reviews either I`m afraid.
Check out Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain
It`s currently due to be released at the end of this month.
I also think Red Dead Revolver is worth a look personally.
Red Dead Revolvers prob a slightly above average effort, its got the atmosphere and there are some very nice touches like the `Dead Eye` moves which change for different characters...eg for the main guy everything slows down like the Matrix and you can target baddies all over and shoot them to hell in a split second...
thing is the AI is a bit duff and it really spoils it, you dont have the classic western shootouts, you can try to hide behind the barrels and pop people off but it dosent work to well as the baddies just charge you most of the time....the melee combat is a bit erm...cack as well....and to rack up the combos to unlock cool stuff its probably better to run around like crazy and plough into baddies rather than pick them off, you dont get hit if you keep moving either...
Its nearly a great western game but not quite, hopefully they tinker the gameplay in the sequal to have some proper shootouts and improve the brawling stuff then that would be superb
