Page 1 of prince of persia `warroir within` wont play on chipped ps2

it nearly went out the window .five attempts with five different discs the game freezes during the opening video

what chip have you got ? also, will the game let you back it up to the hard disc ? if so, does it play ok or freeze in Exactly the same place ?

not sure about chip(not that educated!)yes, i can put it on the hard drive,to make a copy(why?)both copy and original freeze.not always in the same place.i used nero and the infamous games x copy.still no joy(pun)this is the only game that does not work in my playstation.

to see if there are any physical reasons for the disc not playing, ie, nero would pick up bad sectors etc, the only thing i can suggest is to try it on an unmodified ps2 to see if it falls over in the same place, if it plays ok on another machine at least then we can narrow it down to a problem with either you`re chip (doubtfull) or the ps2 itself.
