Yep - got a US copy of Meteos that proves it.
All DS games are region-free, you just have to watch out for language options (although that`s not a worry from America, really).

Can confirm they work fine. We went to Florida at Christmas and picked up 12 between me and 2 kids. Based on current exchange rate you are looking at a cost of half what they are in UK.

Yes they definitely work as the nintendo ds is region free, I bought my daughter one when we were on holiday last year in florida and i bought games, but had old advance games from uk which work.

I´ve got US versions of Castlevania and New Super Mario and they work exactly as they should on my UK DS.
