Page 1 of XBOX 360: Halo 3 Thread

Anyone else pre-ordered this or plan on getting it?

I pre-ordered it yonks ago from Game. Not sure whether to bother now though as PGR4 comes out 2 weeks later and I know that`ll keep me "super busy" and then CoD4 comes out early November and that`s got a lot of promise too. Just don`t wan`t to buy a game that`l sit there gathering dust due to too little precious gaming time, then there`s Assasins Creed, Mass Effect, Unreal Tournament, GTA4.... :/

Something`s gonna have to give so maybe i`ll cancel Halo 3 as the thought of listening to lots of irratating immature yanks hooping and a hollowing whilst offering up their dads for a blow job and paying compliments to everyones mums doesn`t exactly fill me with any joy. Maybe Halo 3 will keep these predictable idiots busy so we can all enjoy the other games much more?

i`ll be getting it day of release, might get it from play, otherwise i`ll just walk into asda & buy it :)

hope its as good as halo 1 & not as sucky as halo 2 :)

The Legendary edition was ordered in march. :D 18 days to go peeps! And yes, I am not looking forward to the yanks.. Hopefully there will be better matchmaking this time...

The reason I don`t have a Wii? It`s just a Gamecube which makes you tired quickly.

Just cancelled mine, might pick it up one day but gonna concentrate on PGR4 and CoD4 over next couple of months instead now that i`ve seen and played the CoD4 beta. I fancy the realism of CoD4 over the fantasy of Halo3 to be honest as well as what i`ve already mentioned.

Is the game still expected to land on its release date? Or should we expect delays?

I never got around to playing Halo but i got halfway through Halo 2 then i got sick of it. Should i be excited about Halo 3? I really want to be but i`m finding it hard to get past the disappointment of H2.

The lack of campaign gameplay footage doesn`t help either.

Never played Halo, got Halo 2 for the Xbox when I got my 360 and while I liked it, it was way after time and there was nothing available for online play. Ordered the legendary edition from Amazon way back when for £40 so if I get it at that price then i am gonna be double happy - although Amazon have removed the release date so I am not overly confident

Just to clarify, all pre orders on most stores are now full. I called gameplay and they said that Legendary is still on course for Sept 26th.

Basically, If you didn`t order it more than 2 months ago.. you can kiss it goodbye .. sorry.

Guess I`ll have to wait then. Oh, and in regards to the previous two, I thought Halo 1 was fantastic (particularly on co-op), but the 2nd was the biggest pile of crap. It was completely linear and largely indoors, and the `twist` seemed to think it was far more cleverer than it actually was.
