I`m not at all upset, but I am certainly surprised by the big winner tonight - Super Mario Galaxy got Game of the Year!

Sounds like it was a good show (and yet it`s completely ignored by the main TV channels), with a few other shocks as well - no awards for GTAIV being the main one.

Urm why the f*** are cod4 and super mario galaxy in the same year as dead space, left4dead etc when they cam out 12 months apart??

Shame about GTA4 not getting anything, if it was in the action/adventure category it deserves it more than Fable 2. And no Fallout 3 wins either :(

Mario Galaxy - well deserved win, but it`s about 18 months late!

there was no baftas game awards in 2007 so it was a take on 2008 as a whole rather than release date decided but i`m shocked that left4dead is a better mp game than cod4 given 2008 as a whole but cod4 gets the gamers "peoples choice" vote and thats gonna be the most reliable one as it`s based on more than a few so called buffs ideas after a glass or two of pinot....
