Page 1 of It`s Official: I am retiring from Xbox Live

My PS3 has been ordered! Although it was ordered by my wife and going to be withheld until my 30th birthday next month.
As a result my Xbox Live days are over as I shall not be renewing my Live subscription and moving my spending to Sony`s baby. I must say I am looking forward to spending a Sunday afternoon on Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank etc. They are a world away from the endless shooters and sports games the Xbox offers and I can`t wait.

PS. How long will it be before someone starts to champion M$`s answers to LBP and R&C and tell me how short sighted I have been? The truth is that I am not moving platforms just to get those games more that I want to change platforms and these games are nice brucie bonus.

funnily enough, i`ve just cancelled my LIVE subscription too. just been online
to do it rather than talk to someone i can`t understand.

i wouldn`t walk away from the 360 completely though... it`s nice to have the option
of playing both for each platforms exclusives.

i would definitely recommend both of the uncharted games. if you can, resist playing
uncharted 2 until you have completed the first game...

i have one of the R&C games but can`t get into it at all... my son loves it though!

I too moved to PS3 for new games. It was only because I prefer to play with my real life friends and they all have PS3`s. However I have always preferred Xbox Live and feel it is worth £28 a year, especially as there is now Sky Player and from Tuesday I can use Facebook, twitter and make my own playlists at Heart.FM. Also stuff gets released daily on LIVE whereas PSN only makes new downloads available every Thursday afternoon.

It`s funny. I don`t know a soul with a PS3. It`s flopped down in my city. 360 crazy down here.
