well,  as quite a few of you guys know, i`ve had plently of reasons to avoid the 360 lol.....  but if they have solved the majority of the RROD issue, then i might be tempted once they have prooved themselves ;)

not a bad price @ £199 with the built in wifi, 250gb HD & wireless controller.

Sell my Elite I have, sell PS3 and get a BD player so hopefully it won`t cost me too much.

The new "Slim" 360 doesn`t look that slim imo. Maybe Xbox 360 Less Portly would be a better name? Aside from that they have fallen into the trap PS3 first fell into and made it a glossy contraption which will only attract fingerprints. Also, is it me or does it look like the PC Case manufacturer Alienware designed it?

On the plus side I think the inclusion of Wi-Fi is a good move but the lack of a BD drive could hold it back from being the media hub and central point of family entertainment it so desperately wants to be.

One other point though is that I would like to know what the components are inside it and whether these have received and overhaul. If they have just managed to squeeze the same components inside a smaller space it could be RROD-tastic come the week after release.

TBH the slim PS3 is not even remotely slim, I have it and it is massive.

In comparison to the behemoth that is the PS3 Phat then the PS3 Slim is slim. In comparison to the Xbox 360 the Xbox 360 Slim is just less portly.

Maybe, but the "slim" ps3 is not that much smaller than my normal xbox360 more of a pain to keep clean too.
