Page 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops... The Game..

Played 15 minutes or so of single player.  Not bowled over yet..
Just found my first bug I think.  Diong a Prison Breakout (Borsuka?).  Got to a door that`s closing any you slide under and push [].  Then kill everyone and nothing happens.  My men just sit there.  I`ve gone to what seems like a garage with a big sliding door and two of my men are sitting there crouching but nothing happens.  They`re dotted around the level doing nothing.  Quitting and resuming from the Checkpoint is the same.... :(
Maybe have to re-start the level?

Is that where your Russian mate grabs the welding gear? The doors are supposed to burst open and guys with shotguns and body armour come ploughing in (headshots all the way for them).

No-one`s grabbed anything. :(  2 guys just crouching down doing nothing.  The rest are dotted around the rooms.  Found some Intel in a dark room looking around though. :/

Have hardly had time to play games this year, so was looking to get a good one for Xmas. I was going to get this, but mainly for the single player. No so keen now though.... Keep us posted!

Replayed the level tonight and sure enough your mate goes into the garage, dons welding gear and I had to protect him.  Nowhere to be seen in the save game or checkpoint. :(
This was after the game patched itself the first time I played it (1.02?) - the day of release.

I thought it was a hell of a lot better than Medal of Honor. At least the single player campaign lasted more than a few hours and had some variety. My PC is now at the point where it struggled a bit with the graphics and the game was quite choppy in places, even with the detail turned down. Bit of a downer, but I still enjoyed it.

Finished it too.  6hrs ish?  Hmm.  Still put it behind both MW1 and MW2 single player.  Not played MP yet.
Some great levels but often felt never too far away from World at War.  Got the twist early on too.
Quite a few sudden deaths too where there was just nothing you could do about it.
Will play through again on Hardened and probably enjoy more.

Way too many cut scenes and "press square to <action>" where all you do is hit the square or constinually tap it for the action to happen, opening doors etc.
No skill involved.

A few times the respawn puts you right in front of a major enemy that you have no chance of killing and need to try n avoid but can`t find out how as you die trying almost everything.

Lots of the cut scene stuff could have been gameplay too I think, but they`ve chosen to make it an animation instead, and although parts of it have "press <X> to skip" you skip that section to just get the next one!

Think Normal took me the equivalent of around 4 to 4 n a half hours, so I`m back to hoping this gets better for me online.
Played a few rounds on getting home this morning but seemed like cannon fodder for higher ranked players again :-/

getting my arse spanked online too for the first time....k/d ratio is a shocking .77% :(

I think this time around they arent giving out the best guns to start with....the m16 is now a 3 hit killing machine and no longer my saviour....the famas and galil however are re-addressing the balance nicely. Map knowledge is king as always and some of these maps are huge and take my old grey matter a while to comprehend but i`m warming to it after a few sessions.

I`m not feeling the love for sp game like i have in the past but i`ll get the job done when i have the umph to grind it out, started it on Veteran (as always, whats the point playing it on anything less after all?) and just escaped the prison on a truck...no bugs for me yet!

my KD`s all over the place in this game..  i can go 10-1 on the plus side, then the next game i get pasted..  my overall KD`s around 1,50, if it stays there i`ll be pretty happy
