B.A.T kept us busy until Tekken came along :)

Cool Borders 2 - that was good fun - not sure how playable it is now after THPS, 1080 and SSX

Destruction Derby - even my dad enjoyed playing that, and he hadn't played a game since Jet Set Willy on the Amstrad :)

FF 7 - I spent over 100hrs on that, playing the game, getting a gold chocobo, defeating teh super hard bosses to get rare materia etc :) I'd probably have done better at Uni if it wasn't for that game ;)

GTA - was good fun, but painful as there was no save, so never got off first city :(

Jumping Flash - excellent proper 3d platformer, was a bit short, but good fun

MGS - that was excellent, loved that game, really clever bits, and some humour :)

oddworld - I never played that but friends really got into it.

RE: DC - loved all the Res games - I'm kind of tempted by the new remake of RE2 on PS4

RR4 - do ppl still these fun racing games? it's all about hyper realistic simulations, rather than powersliding now isn't it :(

Super Puzzle Fighter - much swearing in the 2up game :) good fun

Syphone Filter - I didn't have that but I remember it being popular with friends

tekken 3 - far too much time spent playing that, alone to learn moves and combos, and with friends

Twisted metal - another good fun car game

I think I used to play too much PlayStation when I was at Uni!

After my treasured Megadrive, the PS1 was the first console I had that played a major part of my early geekdom. LOoking back I always regret selling them on, but living in the age of emulators means I can re-live those memories as and when. MGS & FFVII took days away from me, although FFVII was the game that made me realise it wasn't a genre that I managed to get on with. Tekken 3 left the most indelible mark on me, quite literally, as I have a copy of Jin Kazama's tattoo on my left arm. Ah, the impetuousness of youth!

I got one of these on Amazon Prime day for £15.99. Not opened it yet but I did know it could be modded.

If I'd known I'd have bought one on prime day for that. :(
