Page 1 of MOBILE PHONE TARIFFS????
General Forum
My girlfriend is looking 4 a new contract mobile and was wondering what others thought were the best current tariff offers are the best.
She doesn`t want 2 have 2 buy the phone and wants free txt messages.
She probably wants as many free mins as poss. but doesn`t want to pay over about 13.99 a month.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks
I know `One Tel` is doing a promotion at the moment, not sure about Text. But it is £4-99 a month, it is Vodaphone. Phones start at £49-00 & Sim cards at £10-00.
The onestopphoneshop do a free phone and 600 off peakmin to other vodafone and landlines. you also get 50 free txts + an extra 50 txts for the first 6 months. i think this is about £14 a month. if she sends loads of texts try O2(cellnet) you get 300 off peak mins and 500 texts for £20 a month.
O2 are a waste of time I kid you not!
50p to customer services and on the proviso you can actually get to talk to someone thay will without doubt keep you on the phone for longer than thay have to with s***ty promo`s thay have Etc..... You might also find that the network gets congested with everyone else sending texts which results in your text getting delivered 3-4 hours later, Atleast thats what Ive found with them. Give them a go for your 14 days trial see how you get on!
My girlfriend and I both have Orange phones on their Talk 60 tarrif.
We get 60 mins free anytime calls to landlines and other Orange mobiles, and their call charges are the cheapest I have seen. Unused minutes are rolled over for one month.
This package does however cost £17 per month, and does not have inclusive SMS. Orange do offer `Text bundles`. If you pay a fee, you get an included amount of text messages, which work out about 3-5p cheaper than standard messages, depending on the qunatity in the bundle.
Check out www.orange.co.uk for more details.
Also, we got our phones from www.mobileshop.com and they do good packages which include free gifts and accessories. I got a free DVD player with my phone!....Also, all billing comes direct from Orange, not a third party such as Cellular Operations......avoid this billing company at all costs!!!
Hope this helps!

See this thread http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=223&Thread=100451 - offer still seems to be on (12 months Orange line rental free), but the phone is now a free Siemens C45, or Nokia 3330 for £29.99. Don`t know if anyone who`s taken up the offer has managed to change tariff yet, though, to one with inclusive minutes.
