Dual Boot ?

Choagy (Elite) posted this on Monday, 19th August 2002, 14:33

I am considering partitioning my 40gig H/d into 4 X 10 or 2 X 20gigs and then trying to create a dual boot system using XP and ME
My Pace 56K fails XP`s pre install compliance check and I ai`nt getting a new modem as I hope to switch to Broadband in Nov/Dec.
With this in mind I would like to be able to boot to either XP or ME depending on what I`m doing at the time. How easy/difficult is it to create a dual boot system.Cheers Peeps.

I think you can get Pace modem`s working in XP. Someone posted something about it before and I found thge driver`s for them. I am at work at the mo` so I don`t have time to find the link, but I will have a look for you later.

*Edit*
Found it straight away, try the Win2000 drivers:

If you`ve got a reasonably new PC, go to XP and you won`t look back (except to give 2 big fingers up to ME!)

to create a dual boot system, install ME first then XP after. When you boot up after this, you will get an menu with the option to boot from either OS.
