Do I need a NTSC compatible television?

calamity_jane (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 10th December 2000, 18:59

I`m new to this. I`m *desperate* to buy a dvd player that will play multiregion and I think you guys have pretty much convinced me to get an Aiwa, but:

Do I need an ntsc compatible television to play region 1 discs or will any old box do? If I do need an ntsc-compat, can you get them in 14" and any idea how much they cost?

Any advice on anything would be much appreciated :o)

You can play Reg.1 discs on any tv, because the Aiwa converts to pal50 or pal60! Works great!
