Just bought a Aiwa 370 and need to connect it up to the rest of my stuff how should i connect it all to get the best result. The other gear i have is

Sony Dolby Pro Logic Stereo

Tv with 2x Scart connectors S-Video and composite

Video with 2x scart and phono in/out

Pretty straight forward this one!
First, check your TV for RGB capability on the SCARTS. If one of the sockets has RGB enable "Component Video" in the Aiwa`s menu, and connect the scart from the Aiwa to said socket.

If not, then use an Svideo cable and enable "Svideo" in the Aiwa menu.
(If the tellys got Svid, it should have RGB too)

Use a good quality phono to phono cable set between the Aiwa`s audio out connectors and the Amp input.
This may result in lip synch problems though, so if it does, see if the HIFI has video in & out connections. (This is usually composite phono on a hifi though, so the picture will degrade slightly, but possibly not enough to cause you any problems)
That will eliminate the lip synch problem if it exists.

I have an `S-Video` and a `SCART R-G-B` option under TV Output Select on the menu. Is the latter is what you refer to as `Component Video`?

Yup, some players say "SCART R-G-B" and some say "Component" Rover.

Do me a favour though, do the firmware hack and tell me the revision etc?
