Page 1 of MP3 Albums - How?
General Forum
Just bought a new hifi for christmas which supports MP3 playback on CDs. I have burned an MP3 cd with 176 tracks using Real One Player and it plays fine, but having looked at the hifi manual, it says that I can actually put tracks into albums (max of 8 albums per disc I think).E.G. 1 disc could have 4 Foo Fighters albums and 4 RHCP albums, and i could then go into a specific album and play it back.
How do I actually segreagate the files so that having burned the disc, I can select an album and then a track? Is it simply a case of putting the files into different folders?
Hope you can help me
(for those who are interested, hifi is a Philips MCM250)

Good question - someone please help this man as I really want to know the answer to this too!!!! I assumed you`d put them in folders, but then that would mean your hifi would have to be able to read windows folders though, right?
Out of interest how did you put so many tracks on because I thought it totalled up the track time considering whatever CDR you were using (ie. 80mins of Mp3 on an 80min CDR?) so that meant you could only get about 15 tracks maximum on?
I think Wedge means his player can read and play raw MP3 files. The method Ben mentions means the MP3 files are converted to .wav files(audio files) before being burnt to the disc
Yes just place them into a maximum of 8 seperate folders on the root of the CD.

Yes, my hifi actually plays MP3 files as well as Wav straight off the CD
