Bowling for Columbine

Has anyone else seen this?

Watched this today and though it was brilliant. It`s shocking, moving and brilliantly made; there are things that will really take you back when you see/hear them. I really would recommend for everyone to see this, as although it`s a 2 hour documentary, you`ll never find yourself bored.

When they deal with the shootings in Columbine, with the CCTV footage of the killers in the school canteen; the horror seems all too real. Even if you don`t like Michael Moore, you`ll like this, it`s by far one of the best things I`ve seen recently.

Any other opinions from anyone who has seen this?

I haven`t seen this film yet (although I will), but I can also recommend Michael Moore`s book "Stupid White Men".
It tackles wider issues than the film - although gun control is one of them - but in a very humourous way. The only problem with it is the fact that it is very much aimed at an American readership.

Yeah, I saw this last year. I thought it was funny and disturbing. Strange mix, eh.

The only downside is the Moore is very one sided. He is anti-American, which is, as mentioned by Chris, very evident in Stupid White Men.

But I agree that everyone should see Bowling For Columbine.

Ah yes, An American writing for Americans. I am steeling myself to read this but can`t quite get in the frame of mind for doing so (so many deluded opinions, so many fires to fight, wrongs to right :D ).

Funny how this Island has an obsession with American gun culture. Penis envy?

It`s a superb film..... definitely one of my top 5 over the last 12 months.

Superb line when Moore asks the relative of the OKlahoma (forgive my spelling) bomber about fighting battles with guns.....

Moore questions why violence is his chosen solution....

"oh no I agree that the pen is mightier than the sword...... but I always like to keep a sword handy just incase!!!!"
