I don`t know the details on the matter, but I do know that u can write your digital camera flicks on CD-R`s / CD-R-W`s in the VCD or SVCD (better quality if your player can play it) format.

First take a look at your player`s manual to see wich formats it can handle and then go and have a look at:

http://www.vcdhelper.com/

on how to burn it on to a disc and wich software u can use and so forth.

Have fun!!

I`ve tried to find out more info on this and found the following links which are v.good:

http://www.cdpage.com/Compact_Disc_Books/whitebook.html
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Forum/2496/vcdfaq.html
http://www.icdia.org/faq/cdifaq7.html#7.13

If you ever get to do it, please post so we can all see.

I`ve heard that the quality is not much better than a good VHS, and with only 70 odd minutes, but they are durable and easier to scan through. You can also record stills to VCD - see third link above.

Anyone else know of any other links?
Anyone done the above?

Julian
