Summer is here! Well almost.....

Just a quick one. Starting to get in the summer mood and the bbq is coming out. Does anyone know of any decent `garden games`, to help pass a drunken afternoon?

Giant jenga? anymore....

yeah, get a set of swings that can support an adult`s weight and spend your afternoon swinging and jumpin off - lets see you land on two feet while over the limit...

Swingball`s always a laugh, remember to make sure you`ve got a camcorder handy. £250 quid from you`ve been framed for a near-decapitation will always come in handy. Other than that, there`s always that stupid game where you have to bend over and put your forehead against the tip of a short broomstick and spin around 10 times, then someone hands you a tray full of glasses and you have to walk in a straight line.

Laugh!! in merriment as the dizzy fool staggers as if inebriated!!

Chuckle!! as the poor sap falls into a fishpond, showering himself in broken glass!!

Guffaw!! as the casualtly is wheeled off in an ambulance, suffering from sliced tendons and multiple lacerations....

(yes, I have seen this happen. My advice, stick with lawn chess)

How about the no.1 WEA sponsored summer game....."W*sp BBQ"!

All you need is a can of hairspray (or any flammable aerosol for that matter) and a lighter.

The rules are very simple -

1. Wait till you see a w*sp
2. Light up your makeshift flamethrower
3. Fry that stripey motherf*cker!

Can`t think of a better way to end a BBQ than a crate of Stella and a game of "W*sp BBQ"

In fact, I`m off for a quick game right now!

Good post MarcMac - I have just been round to my Father-in-Law`s (or should I say Faajer -isn`t jat veird?) and had a BBQ.

One of the best games I know when having drinks outside in the sun has to be the "Cane game".
All you need is 2 teams and one person from each team goes first - they complete the following, run back, tag the next person on the team and so on - until the last person....

You give everyone a drink - everyone has the same.
The whistle blows and the first person in each team downs the drink as fast as possible and runs to the other end of the garden where there is (as you put it there earlier!) a length of cane, bamboo or whatever.
The person then puts their forehead on the top of the cane whilst placing the other end on the floor and has to do 10 revolutions (ie: running in a cicle) whilst keeping their head on the top of the cane and the bottom of the cane on the floor (on the same spot) and then has to run back and tag the next person......obviously, the team that is all finished and behind the starting line first is the winner.

Easy - but so funny once everyone`s had a few!

Just watch your friends falling all over the place after 3 or 4 revolutions. Top.
