Page 1 of Petrol Going up 5p per gallon

Goverment putting petrol up 5p a gallon, also except the providers to up prices as OPEC are reducing production.

Comments?

I don`t understand how OPEC can be legal? I am sure that all Cartels must be illegal? I mean if Umbro, Man Utd, JJB etc can get fined for fixing the price of footie shirts - how can OPEC be allowed to get away with fixing the price of oil?? Might try to convert the motor to use the old chip fat soon.....

Isn`t it hard to fine an organisation that isn`t in a country that allows it to be fined?

But don`t worry, George W. Bush will soon have invaded all the oil generating countries in the middle east that haven`t developed nuclear weapons, so we can all pollute the planet for 2p a litre. :)

Wouldn`t make much difference to us its mostly tax as it is!

Anyway I think more people should be complaing about the price of water!!! I was in a service station the other day and a 700ml bottle of water set me back £1.60 thats more thn petrol per litre by alot !!!

I was under the impression that any OPEC increase took about 6 weeks to find it`s way to the forecourts. Seems not according to the media. Damn, I`ve got to order my heating oil soon :(
