Matrix Revolutions sucks.....Officially **SPOILERS**

I don`t like to listen to critics, but in most cases you can`t say they`re often wrong. With the exception of horror & comedies, I`ve always judged whether to see a movie based on its review merit. Matrix Revolutions on 32% at Rotten Tomatoes after 31 reviews. Owch.

I`m staying clear of this one, but that`s just me.

So because a bunch of snotty nosed critics don`t like it, it must be crap? :/

Personally, I`m the only critic that matters. I really like the orignal and Reloaded, so I`m sure I`ll like this :)

If opinion is split, and I`m hyped about a movie, I`ll give it the benefit of the doubt. The critics rightly praised the original Matrix, so why can`t they be right about Revolutions?

That said, there are the occasional movies that suprise you and defy all the negative reviews. 2 Fast 2 Furious was my movie of the summer. *ducks and takes cover*

Thing is, Harry Knowles loved it, and bare in mind he hated Reloaded. Though I don`t regard him as a great critic, still it can`t be that bad can it?

Also lots of films get panned by critics, and then turn out to be brilliant. I think alot of critics just want to hate Matrix Revolutions.

I`m sorry, but I don`t listen to critics. I do like reading their reviews (it can be amusing) but when it comes to any film I have even a remote interest in seeing, then I will go to the cinema with an open mind and judge the frickin film for myself.

I suppose I have certain expectations for Revolutions, after all, the hype makes it impossible not to. But Reloaded had greater hype, and I liked that, so this should be a blast (although the ending could be a downer).

I didn`t fancy it after Reloaded but that seemed to get better on dvd and I`ve watched that about 4 times now.
I just got back from the cinema and I thought it was excellent. Still a bit of cheesey diologue but not much. Even Lock seemed better in this I thought he needed a chrisma transplant after the last one. Smith is excellent as usual. Cinematography is stunning.

I didn`t get the heebee-jeebies though as I did watching the trailer for Return of the King just before so obviously the bar is still in place.

I was talking to a guy yesterday and I had mentioned that I had seen Revoultions that afternoon...he said" I`ve watched the first one, but haven`t got round to the other ones yet..." - I advised him not to bother as watching them as they would ruin the magic of the original Matrix.

The Matrix was a pretty cool movie. It stands on its own a good movie and did not really need the sequels to "explain" everything (not that the sequels explain anything anyway). What seems to have happened is that the success of the original movie forced the Brothers W. to come up with a whole lot of backstory and extrapolation to fill a couple of sequels.

Visually and technologically spectacular as Reloaded and Revoultions are, I have to ask - were they really neccessary?

also - I hate the way the Oracle was used to explain random plot devices

Scene : Int. Oracles Apartment

Neo: I need a new hat to allow me to keep my hair nice and tidy.
Oracle: You need to see The Hatmaker
Neo: The Hatmaker?
Oracle: The Hatmaker - He makes hats
Neo: How do I find him?
Oracle: I can`t tell you that - you must choose
Neo: Choose what? JUST GIVE ME STRAIGHT ANSWER YOU SILLY OLD MOO!...and why do you look different from the last time we met.
Oracle: I just do...
Neo: But how?
Oracle: Just because...
Neo: oh f*** off...pass me that spoon so I can stir my coffee..
Oracle: There is no Spoon.
Neo: Yes there is! - it`s in the sugar bowl...

I didn`t like the first one and so didn`t bother with the second. Reading what everyone has said maybe I`ll enjoy it and want to see the third too.
Am I the only person I know who didn`t like the first one? I was so bored with it that I can hardly even remember it very well. Something about getting chased by a giant fish at one point I think - Duh!

No, you`re not the only one - I thought that the first one was overrated as well - saw it again on tv the other night and didn`t change my opinion any - I didn`t see Reloaded and have no plans to see Revolutions either.
