Fitz

Going by their , RAC, site there seems to be a membership that is designed for Eire citizens which covers the member in Eire, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom mainland. With that in mind it seems likely that a United Kingdom membership would cover you in Eire and Northern ireland.

Check out http://www.rac.co.uk

Thanks for the replies. Have checked a little further with the RAC and apparently if one was to travel from NI into the Republic in a mainland registered car and broke down, then only roadside assistance would be offered, i.e. no recovery. For recovery I think you`d have to upgrade to European cover.
