Page 1 of Where have all the scan complaints gone

Last time there were over 46 complaints re the scan 2000 player now I have checked and they have all gone and there is an anoying banner at the top of the page advertising the scan. Why as the Scan is a faullty player and a waste of money and does not work its crap do not buy one under any circumstances.

From what I have heard SCAN are working like little b`stards to iron out the faults which they have done to some degree (although you have to personnally open you machine and swap a chip to fix the subtitles thing!)

The picture & sound quality will not be fixed though as this is the drawback of a cheap player.

I would conclude most people have returned there faulty ones and walked away or are happy with the new batch and they except it`s flaws

I am sorry Gary but your not going to get a sub 200 pound player with sony picture and sound quality.

The question you should ask is If I buy budget which is the best!

Well... they`ve had my player for two weeks now.. and according to their RMA stuff on the webpage it`s still `awaiting testing`...

Question to those of you who sent their player back... how long did Scan take to admit it was messed, and how long till you got your money back?.

They`ve had my ex-player for at least two weeks. The site still says awaiting testing, but I rang them up last week and they promised my money back by today... still waiting.

Update - Thurs 24th - rang them again (finally got through), refund tomorrow - I`ll believe it when I see it.

Update - Fri 25th - no refund, no surprise .

(Must remember to get tattoo: Do not buy from Scan).

Kinda glad I stumbled across this thread since I was just about to buy the Daewoo DQD2000(Argos) which seems to be an SC-2000 in silver with a new badge.

Is the Scan really that bad? Look at DVD Reviewers own review - that`s why I nearly bought it.

I am not even going to touch that last message with a 60 foot pole
