We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
The wording is something along these lines:
Quote:
Would you vote for a European Constitution as drafted by the EU, which has been approved by the Government and Parliament?
I also think we should pull out of the EU and enter into a stronger alliance with the USA.
My DVD Collection
Quite possibly.

How the hell can we get a stronger alliance? Use $$?..

Vote NO
Although we would be a larger Terrorist target if we became the 51st State of the Union it would be much better than being ruled by the Germans...only took them 60 years to do it legitimately!!! ;)
Also, I wouldn`t have gotten charged f**kin` import duty on my Tent! (or DVD`s 8) )
Erm...
....says it all really :/
RE: European Constitution - yes or no?
I`d vote no, but it`s be idiocy to completely turn our backs on the european union (which is the stance the Tories seem to be taking)
I don`t mind being in Europe, I just don`t want to be run by them

RE: European Constitution - yes or no?
I would vote, and I intend to vote most vehemently YES.
Everybody has been fed so much crap by the press about the EC and what the Constitution stands for. We hear nothing but right-wing hysteria about EC rules about the content of sausages, who can or can`t make certain types of cheese, Brussels mandarins telling us our bosses shouldn`t make us work more than 36 hours a week.
An EC Constitution has nothing to do with Britain handing over its running to Brussels. It has everything to do with giving British Citizens the rights and privileges that successive UK Governments have refused to give us, or have given us in watered-down form. Ever wondered why Britain doesn`t have a written Constitution? It`s so Governments can make things up as they go along to suit them.
As for closer ties with the US, I`d say that we`re in enough trouble already, thank you very much. Have you ever wondered what the evidence of WMDs was that convinced Tony Blair to back Bush up to the hilt? It was the threat of economic sanctions against the UK and particularly UK companies operating in the US that tipped the argument. The US "special relationship" has been "bend over and squeal like a piggie" since the end of WWII. The main reason the Tories don`t want us in Europe is because a united Europe would be an economic force equal to the US, and that would scare Bush and his paymasters more than the Commies ever did.

RE: European Constitution - yes or no?
As far as I`m concerned both the EU and its European Constitution and Bush`s USA can both go screw themselves, since they have both been doing it to us for years.
So NO. Not in a million years.
Basically I follow Stantz view
