General Forum
Did anyone actually get the free DVD they requested in the MoS`s last token collect offer?
After waiting two months for my DVD ("Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers"), I`ve just received a "substitute" DVD- "Darrow" starring Kevin Spacey!
Some substitute!
Or did anyone on this forum win one of the 2000 DVD players on offer???
>:( Well ! what a coincidence!!!
I also received " Darrow ",which is no doubt a fine film, but not the film I had requested or any of the other films originally listed.
They rub salt in the wound by sending the copy of Darrow in a carboard sleeve with DEMONSTRATION COPY in large print on the back >:( .
I for one will never buy a Daily Mail or Mail on Sunday again >:(
I was told when I phoned the Promotions Dept to see if anything was happening that all the DVD players had been awarded weeks before.
The whole thing stinks. >:(
If you feel like letting them know how displeased you are, why not give them a call on 0800 010 111

RE: Mail on Sunday Free DVD Offer
Yes,i also received Darrow.not happy as i picked Gangs of New York.
It seems that the Mail on Sunday cocked up big time.
Won`t do it again
Hi kywy,
I contacted the Mos on the number you gave and they`ve promised to get back to me-fat chance! I`ll give them 48 hours and then I`ll get back onto them.
I`m also going to request a list of the DVD Player "winners" as per the suggestion of my local Trading Standards office. They`re VERY interested in the handelling of this promotion.
I`ll update you re my progress.
RE: Mail on Sunday Free DVD Offer
Hi Mark,
I will, no probs!
I`ve just been back onto the Promotions Department at the Mos and spoke to Andrea. She promised to look into it and get me "something" out "soon".
I don`t think it`ll be the disc I ordered because she was hanging up before I told her which title I wanted!
Another newspaper rip-off, I think!
Don`t The Mail/Mail On Sunday routinely get their knuckles rapped over their "free flights" offers, which turn out to be, by and large, a pile of tosh?
Don`t know why anyone would allow such an appaling excuse for journalism into their house anyway...

Hi Sput,
I believe they have had their knuckles rapped previously.
Maybe we on this forum should get together with a petition (to Trading Standards or whoever) and get our requested discs?

Could be worth showing a united front, a call tomorrow to the young lady will do no harm methinks.
