Page 1 of Tequila Question

Hi All

Just a quick question, got a bottle of Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila from a friend and was wondering if like vodka you can keep it in the freezer.

I never knew you could keep vodka in the freezer. :( Would that not cause the bottle to break, or does it not freeze solid. Could you give me some info please Grakan?

Vodka wont freeze (due to the alcohol content I presume) so it just goes nice and cold in the freezer..although I wouldnt drink from the bottle... nasty stuff that freezer burn :o

as for Tequila...I have no idea

Vodka also goes nice and gloopy when it is has been kept in the freezer. It improves the taste (don`t ask me how - it`s probably just in my mind) and makes for a colder drink.

Never bothered putting Tequilla in the freezer myself, but can recommend that you drink the tequilla with, crushed ice, ginger ale and some freshly squeezed lime juice. It makes for a fantastic tasting drink. There`s probably some fancy name for it but I call it "Dance_like_a_monkey`s Falling Down Juice" TM

Can confirm it is unlikely to freeze but might go slushy if your freezer is cold enough.
I keep my gin in the freezer for G&T
Margeritas!!!!!!!
But does anyone know how to make them in the same way as they do as in Mex or the US?
They imho are the best Teq drink
