I WANT TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS ON BOTH CONSOLES!
I HAVE BOTH AND KNOW WHICH ONE I PREFER.

DREAMCAST (Due to the serious mountain full of joy i get out of it, its online ready out of the box, plus it has gorgeous graphics and the design of the machine is very slick)

Well when the nintendo game cube comes out it will kick there asses!!!! the playstation 2 is the best So FAR!!!!!!

I would go for the dreamcast right now. Its practically just as powerful as the PS2 and is a hell of a lot cheaper. You could buy a DVD player with the £150 you save aswell..........

Gamecube will kick both their asses though! Glad there is some support for this here!

l got a Dreamcast, and Playstation 2 has nothing much good so far. The Dreamcast has really great games. Can PS2 match CRAZY TAXI for fun?

Sega really screwed up not pushing this machine! l think its GREAT!

i have a ps2 and a dcast i prefer dcast for 80 percent of the games put them both together the dcast beats the ps2 on unreal tournament and tony hawkes 2 smoother game play better graphics im a dcast nut

dreamcast is far the superior machine for games at the moment. the games on ps2 are utter bollocks.

I doubt it bomber by then Winning Eleven 5 and a stack of very good PS2 games will kick its ass and the cube is no more powerfull or versitile then the PS2.

Elephant isnt it funny that most of the PS2 releases are crap yet WInning Eleven 5 p***es on anything the dreamcast can call Football:)

dreamcast is now available for below £100 (99 in Cambridge Game store) so get a dc and a dvd player, then let the kids play the dc on a portable and you can watch a film on the decent tv

Dreamcast is very affordable now, but there isn`t going to be all that many more games for it as Sega have stopped making them. Best game imho is Soul Calibre.

PS2 hasn`t got all that many decent games at the minute (but then again neither did DC at this point). However, SSX if fantastic - best snowboarding game I`ve ever played (yes - it`s better than 1080) and probably would make it in to my top 20 games ever. GT3 will be along soon and should be pretty tasty plus MGS2 which looks *really* nice.

If you want a cheep console with lots of decent games available for it now then choose a DC, but if you want a console that`s going to be current for a while and have very decent games coming out over the next few years then go for the PS2. Really you want both (that`s what I decided anyway ;-)

Hang on to your DC for the gameplay and quality but also buy a PS2 just to go with the trend and for the 2 decent future games! (MGS2 + GT3)
