lf3800 (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 13th November 2004, 17:15

Cleaning out my frezzer and took a bit of ice from the top shelf of the frezzer and it took a piece of the plastic with and air and liquid started coming out then stopped. Is this the liquid that keeps it cold and is the frezzer nackered.
Will the fridge bit be ok or am i looking for a new fridge/frezzer.

Defrosting a fridge freezer should be done in only two ways:

1) allow it to melt naturally with the power off.
2) as above, but with a bowl of warm water to help it along (NOT BOILING)

simple fact is, you`ve gubbed it, time to buy a new one.
